Google has just announced Google Pixel Buds 2. The wireless earphones headset is expected to be launched in early 2020 but will offer many interesting features, including support for the Google Assistant.
Pixel Buds 2 Design
The new Pixel earbuds come in a somewhat unusual design, with the earbuds protruding from a round housing. On top of that, so-called “wing tips” are attached to the case to ensure a secure fit in the wearer’s ear. Overall, despite the batteries and the wireless hardware, the case should be much smaller than you might know it from other earphone headsets. Ultimately, the headphones should not protrude from the ear and should, therefore, be much less conspicuous.
Pixel Buds 2 Features
The Pixel Buds 2 are to be powered wirelessly, for which Google offers a corresponding case. Officially during the short mention on the occasion of the #MadeByGoogle event, there was the talk of five hours of battery life in continuous operation. With the accumulator contained in the charging case, you can get further 19 hours of running time.
The new Google Pixel Buds 2 are to be also able to offer an optimal reception of language during telephone calls or with the interaction with the Google Assistant. To optimize the already high audio quality further, Google sets on the use of Ambient Computing. Thanks to which the volume and audio reproduction is constantly adapted to the surrounding volume. The user can also regulate the volume on his own, simply by using Google Assistant.
The new Google earbuds are connected to the respective host device via Bluetooth 5.x, which results in a much greater wireless range. Ultimately, distances of up to 110 meters should be possible without any problems with audio playback. In everyday life, of course, this depends heavily on obstacles between the user and the host device.
Google plans to launch Pixel Buds 2 at the beginning of 2020, with prices starting at 179 US dollars. They will be available in four color options: Clearly White, Oh So Orange, Quite Mint, and Almost Black.
