The Chinese manufacturer OnePlus has just introduced the OnePlus 7T, refreshing its “cheaper flagship smartphone.” Among other things, the device introduces a 90 Hz display and circular triple camera.
OnePlus 7T Specs
The OnePlus 7T has an AMOLED panel operating at 2400 x 1080 pixels and a maximum refresh rate of 90 Hz. The screen has been optimized in partnership with Qualcomm to improve the balance between display refresh rate and CPU performance. It will dynamically activate more or fewer cores, depending on what the user is doing or viewing on the screen.
As before, the screen has a “notch” at the top, where OnePlus accommodates the front camera. The manufacturer advertises that HDR10+ is now also supported. One of the main features of the OnePlus 7T is the new triple camera unit on the rear. This now consists of a 48-megapixel camera with an f/1.7 aperture and optical image stabilizer. The manufacturer also provides a wide-angle camera with a very wide field of view, while the third sensor is 12 megapixels telephoto camera. Among other things, OnePlus advertises the NightScape mode, thanks to which excellent shots are to be produced even in low light.
Under the hood of the OnePlus 7T uses the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus Octacore-SoC, which with a maximum clock speed of 2.96 GHz scratches just above the 3 GHz limit. OnePlus always uses eight gigabytes of RAM, while the internal memory is always 128 GB. With its 3800mAh battery, it is supposed to make it through the day with ease. The power supply is now even faster thanks to an optimized 30-watt power supply unit.
OnePlus 7T or 7 Pro
OnePlus is the first manufacturer who equipped their commercially available smartphones in Android 10 as their operating system. The company released as well OnePlus 7 Pro model, which has the classic camera setup and a bigger battery. Pro model has also selfie pop-up camera instead on a notch. What is interesting, however, is that version 7T has a super macro mode and faster charging, both of which are lacking in the Pro version.
