Vivaldi for Android

Vivaldi has launched the beta phase of the alternative web browser for Android. The app can now be tried out – it offers many features known from PC, including notes, screenshots, password management, and sync function.

The Vivaldi browser is now also available as a free app for Android smartphones. It is still a beta version, but it already makes a very good first impression. The beta test runs through the Google Play Store, anyone who wants and uses at least Android 5.0 can download the beta now.

Functional and practical

It’s worth taking a look at the features that the Vivaldi creators are now making available for Android. The browser provides encrypted end-to-end synchronization for passwords, bookmarks, notes, open tabs, and more. Notes are also a rather clever function, which is basically present only in Vivaldi. Users can create simple written notes with rich text support in the browser window.

For many Android users, a feature for advanced screenshots in a browser is certainly new. Vivaldi allows you to capture the visible area in the browser window or the entire page. In addition, there are privacy settings with private mode tabs, bookmark manager, and download manager. You also find some practical extras such as a speed dial for your favorite websites, abbreviations for search engines, as well as the possibility to clone tabs and reopen closed tabs.
