If you are looking for how to reset or restart Fitbit, this means that your Fitbit is experiencing issues. So, if the issues are anything like:

  • Unable to sync.
  • It does not react when you press the buttons, tap it, or try to slide your finger across the screen.
  • It’s charged, but it won’t turn on.
  • It does not follow your footsteps or other statistics.

First, we would recommend a restart. The restart is done differently depends on the model. After you restart, your device will turn off and on again without erasing your activity data.

Some Fitbit devices have small holes for sensors such as the microphone or altimeter. Do not attempt to restart your device by inserting objects such as paper clips into these holes, as this could damage your Fitbit device.

ACE AND ALTA SERIES

  1. Plug the charging cable into a USB port on your computer or into a UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Plug the other end of the charging cable into the port on the back of the electronic coach. The pins of the charging cable should be firmly locked into the port. Once connected, the Coach will vibrate, and a battery icon will appear on the display. The charging of your Electronic Coach will then begin.
